Beloved's,
Over my many years both in the women's empowerment space and in general life, I have held the vision that in the realm of leadership, where hierarchies often reign supreme, that we MUST do better, we must expose the patriarchal frameworks that promote pyramid style leadership and work from a frame that sees equality, respect and genuine recognition as the foundation & heart of commUNITY.
There exists a profound & far more egalitarian yet often overlooked paradigm—the concept of circular leadership. Unlike its linear counterpart, which emphasizes top-down authority and rigid structures, circular leadership embodies the essence of interconnectedness, collaboration, and wholeness.
THIS is where I sit, this is where our work as Wyld Tribe centres from and as forerunners of this concept, 'Circular Leadership' is at the foundation of all that we do.
To explain, at its core circular leadership is a dance—a dance of harmony and balance, where every voice is heard, every perspective valued, and every individual seen as an integral part of the whole. It is a recognition of the inherent interconnectedness of all beings, a celebration of diversity, and a commitment to fostering environments where everyone can thrive.
Within this framework, there are no rigid boundaries or fixed roles. Instead, there is fluidity & grace —an openness that allows for the ebb and flow of ideas, the sharing of power, and the emergence of collective wisdom.
As leaders in this paradigm I am not mere a figurehead of Wyld Tribe or solitary decision-maker; we - Larissa & myself are facilitators, guides, and collaborators, nurturing the seeds of potential within each individual in our soul family and within the collective as a whole.
So central to circular leadership is the art of deep listening—an art that requires presence, empathy, and openness. This is something that I am very passionate about. In the quiet spaces between words, in the subtle nuances of body language, lies a wealth of wisdom waiting to be uncovered. We need to deeply listen to one another not only with our ears but with our hearts, attuning ourselves to the rhythms of the collective and the whispers of the soul. Seeking to understand not only to be understood.
And so within this frame we see vulnerability not as a weakness but a strength—a gateway to authenticity and connection. Leaders who embody this paradigm are not afraid to show their humanity, to acknowledge their flaws & stuff ups and to extend compassion both to themselves and to others. It is through vulnerability that trust is built, relationships deepened, and bonds forged that withstand the tests of time.
Yet, perhaps the most transformative aspect of circular leadership lies in its ability to catalyze change from within. Rather than seeking external solutions or imposing directives from above, we as leaders in this paradigm recognise that true transformation begins with inner work—with a willingness to confront the shadows within, to take empowered personal responsibility, to embrace the full spectrum of emotions, and to cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion.
As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, with its myriad of challenges and uncertainties, the call for circular leadership grows ever louder. It is a call to transcend the limitations of ego and hierarchy, to honor the interconnectedness of all beings, and to co-create a future rooted in love, compassion, and unity.
So let us heed the call Beloved's. Let us step into the dance with open hearts and open minds, embracing the wholeness that lies within and all around us. For in the sacred circle of leadership, we discover not only the power to transform our organisations, tribes and communities but also the profound beauty of our shared humanity.
Wyld Blessings
Trace xXx
